Counselling that meets you with kindness, dignity, and curiosity.
ABOUT
Welcome!
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) providing online counselling for adults 19+ in Victoria and across British Columbia. I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a Master’s in Sociology. I am a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and the Canadian Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BC Division).
I place a strong emphasis on the counselling relationship as a foundation for lasting growth. Like many people, I have gone through periods of challenge and uncertainty, and these experiences have deepened my understanding of the importance of feeling safe, respected, and understood in the counselling process.
I offer a calm, supportive space where clients can explore what feels difficult to them and work collaboratively toward meaningful change. I am attentive to pace, recognizing that growth unfolds differently for each person and that therapy is most effective when it aligns with your needs and values.

With a background in sociology, I bring an understanding of how social systems shape mental health and well-being. This perspective supports a holistic view grounded in the belief that healing is relational and rooted in belonging. It acknowledges both our individuality and our interdependence within families, communities, cultures, and the world around us.
My path to counselling has been shaped by more than twenty years of teaching, mentoring, and working alongside diverse communities. As a former university and college lecturer, much of my work focused on social inequities, public health, and the social determinants of health. These experiences have grounded me in commitments to equity, anti-racism, and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. In both my life and counselling work, these values inform the respect, curiosity, and humility I strive to bring to all my relationships.
-
I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic approaches to foster self-awareness, emotional well-being, and personal growth. I tailor the techniques—whether cognitive strategies, mindfulness, or strength-based methods—to align with your experiences and goals. Together, we will co-create a holistic, client-centred therapeutic relationship that supports meaningful transformation.
I work with adults of all identities and backgrounds, and I welcome the full diversity of life experiences. I aim to recognize the context of clients’ lives, where experiences are honoured and an authentic, attuned connection supports thoughtful exploration, increased awareness, and movement forward in ways that feel relevant. With me, you will find a supportive counselling relationship in which to explore challenges without blame or judgment.
I offer support in the following areas:
ADHD
Anxiety
Depression
LGBTQ+
Life Transitions
Men’s Issues
Relationship Issues
Self Esteem
Stress

My counselling practice is designed to support individuals seeking ongoing, non-emergency care. To ensure client safety and ethical practice, there are certain situations and services that fall outside the scope of what I am able to offer.
I am not able to provide:
Court-mandated counselling or services required by the legal system
Counselling for individuals experiencing active suicidal intent with a plan, as this requires a higher level of immediate care than I am able to provide
Counselling for individuals with major and active addictions
Crisis response or 24-hour emergency support
If you are in crisis or need immediate assistance, free mental health support is available by calling or texting 9-8-8 (National Suicide Crisis Helpline), or by calling 310-6789 (no area code required) for BC Mental Health & Crisis Response.
If your needs fall into any of the categories above, I gently encourage you to seek specialized or emergency services that are better equipped to provide the level of care and support required. Where appropriate, I am happy to assist with referrals or help you explore next steps.

Is counselling covered by my extended health care plan?
Counselling services provided by a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) are covered by many extended health care plans. I provide receipts that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Coverage depends on your specific plan, so please confirm with your insurer whether services from a CCC are included.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Payment is accepted by e-transfer or credit card. E-transfer payments are due before your scheduled session, and credit cards are processed after each appointment. Counselling and psychotherapy services are GST/HST-exempt, and you’ll receive a receipt for every session.
I use Jane App, a secure Vancouver-based health and wellness platform, to handle bookings and payments. Your personal information is carefully protected and stored on encrypted, PIPEDA-compliant servers. The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is Canada’s federal law that sets standards for how private-sector organizations protect your data.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment without charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled session, as well as missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee as agreed upon at the time of booking. Thank you for your understanding.
The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.

MY SERVICES
I offer personalized counselling that builds on your strengths and meets you with kindness, dignity, and curiosity. My approach is relational, conversational, and collaborative, and my aim is to create a welcoming environment where you can find balance, build resilience, and heal at your own pace.
If you are beginning to consider working with a counsellor, or wish to revisit counselling work, I welcome you. It would be a privilege to support you on your journey toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Individual counselling is centred on what matters most to you. Sessions are shaped collaboratively around your goals and your pace. My aim is to support you in moving forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence.
We will begin with a conversation about what is bringing you in, your counselling goals, and your strengths. From there, we will work together to create a counselling plan that feels supportive, practical, and aligned with what matters to you.
Session lengths are flexible to suit your needs, offered online via Jane App.
25 Minutes - $70. A shorter, focused space where we can attend to a particular concern or take time to reconnect and check in.
50 Minutes - $140. A standard session, offering time for us to explore your experiences and whatever feels most important to you.
80 Minutes - $220. An extended session offering room to go deeper, reflect more fully, or move at a pace that feels right for you.
